| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
Welcome to SPURT.COM.AU - a gay owned and operated place to buy Gay Adult DVD Movies and moreonline.
The Spurt difference is that ALL of our movies are legitimate copies - they are direct original masters.
We do not sell illegal copies, or DVD Movies that are made from illegitimate sources.
Often this will mean that our prices are slightly higher, but it’s your guarantee that with Spurt you will get crystal clear vision and the sound and action that the original film maker intended. Our covers are high quality printing, not blurry photocopies.
The money you pay goes directly to pay the actors and crew who have worked on the film, and not to an illegal copying house.
In short, if you want cheap, shoddy products, Spurt is not for you - but if you want high quality, original materials, then we have exactly what you are after.
Our team consists of gay men and lesbians - and as such our operators can take orders for you, but do not have knowledge of specific plots or story lines or actors. They are able to take an order, or trace a missing parcel for you - but cannot discuss content of our movies.
All the answers you need are on our internet site - actors, durations, plot, cover pics and more. |

ORDERING
|
To order our DVD Movies, use the online secure order facility on this website.
If your entire order is in stock, it will be shipped within 5 working days.
Due to customer demand, shipping times from overseas, and customs clearance, we sometimes experience out of stock periods for some items. If one or more items are delayed more than 2 days from when you place your order, we will ship what is in stock, and forward the rest when it arrives in (with no extra cost to you for the subsequent shipping).
That said, most orders can be filled immediately from stock, while most people wait no more than 7 - 14 days for all items to be shipped, while in extreme cases it may take up to 30 days depending on the specific title and distributor.
We can keep our prices down by carrying our most popular items in stock at all times, and special ordering from suppliers for less popular or obscure items. We hope that you understand that by separating orders in this way, we are able to keep the costs of our products at the lowest possible levels.

This policy is in line with the requirements of the OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING in virtually all states and territories.
This is also the case where we have advised on he page of a product description (or through in store labeling) that a DVD is Region 1 or 2, and your player turns out to ONLY play Region 4 discs, or where a DVD is Region 1 and your TV is not NTSC compatible.
This policy on Region issues has been supported by the OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING in a number of states. |

| INFORMATION ABOUT REGIONS AND DVD PLAYERS |
Australia is Region 4
USA is Region 1
UK / Europe is Region 2
These Region zones have been created by the movie distributors to protect the release dates and marketing agreements of their titles - that is to say a film might be available on DVD and Video in the USA before it is even at the cinema in Australia - so DVD Movies have coding on them according to the country of their manufacture.
But it causes a problem for the gay & lesbian video aficionado - the bulk of lesbian and gay content is never released in Australia on Region 4 (as we are apparently a small, low priced DVD market that many companies do not see as "lucrative" enough to release their materials here).
We strongly urge you to invest in a MULTIZONE DVD PLAYER and NTSC COMPATIBLE TV.
If you cannot watch Region 1 or 2 DVD Movies on your current DVD Player you will need to purchase a Multizone DVD Player, or you may be able to go to www.google.com and put in your brand and model, and words like "decode DVD" and you will often find that others have published the de-code sequence on the web.
You can also go to the retailer where you purchased your player and ask for the decode sequence, or to borrow a decode disc. Some manufacturers head offices will also provide this information.
SPURT.COM.AU have Multizone DVD Players for sale. Check the heading DVD PLAYERS on the menu to the left. |

| MULTI ZONE |
What are regions? What is MultiZone?
Many of the movies we offer are not Region 4.
However virtually all DVD player s will either play Region 1 & 2 DVD s, or can be manipulated to play them simply. Most players can do it "off the shelf" - these are known as MultiZone players.
If your player does not play the disc, then you should follow these suggestions:-
1. go to www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks and search for your player make and model and follow any advice
2. search on www.google.com AND www.yahoo.com for your player make and model plus words like DVD decode.
3. contact your DVD player retailer and ask for the unlock code
4. call the customer service hotline for your brand of DVD player and ask for the unlock code
5. Consider buying a new player for under $100 which is multizone enabled and therefore will play all movies. Stores like Coles and Safeway sell players (usually under $60) as do Dick Smith Electronics, Tandy and others such as JB Hifi. You will find that most mass retailers will be aware of which players are multizone and which are not. The basic rule of thumb is CHEAPER IS BETTER as far as Multizone goes.
The bad news is that the main players that cannot be converted are Playstation, XBox and Yamaha brand players.
Also SOME units with a combined DVD/ TV or DVD / VHS may not be able to be converted – some can, some cannot.
Also be aware that Computers will allow you to change region on DVD players 5 times before they lock on the region you have last used (the only way around this is to reinstall your system software - goodbye everything.....).
As outlined in our customer service policy, we are unable to refund or replace items which do not operate in your player due to region issues. |
